No. We specifically examined the risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS) as part of our TÜV certification. Wearing tampons and menstrual cups does seem to increase the risk of TSS, mainly due to the blockage of blood and air contact. This is not the case with trackle, because the sensor does not block or absorb any blood – thanks to its smooth surface, the blood can flow out around it unobstructed. In other words, trackle does not increase the risk of TSS.
