In the event of a vaginal yeast infection, you should not use the sensor for the duration of the infection and fully treat/cure it in consultation with your gynecologist.
Before reinserting the sensor for the first time after a yeast infection, you should carefully disinfect it with 70% isopropyl alcohol (not 90% or higher; please check the product's instructions for use).
Follow these steps:
First clean the sensor, storage box, and all contact parts with water and mild soap. Rinse off soap residue thoroughly.
Soak a clean cloth in 70% isopropyl alcohol and wipe down the sensor carefully (for the trackleCatch, also clean the inside of the hole for the removal strap, using a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol if necessary).
Treat the storage box and all other parts that come into contact with the sensor in the same manner.
Finally, before inserting the sensor the next time, make sure to rinse it under running water so that no disinfectant residue disrupts your vaginal flora.
Allow all parts to dry completely.
Please note: over the sensor's entire lifespan of two or two and a half years, you must not subject it to this procedure more than twenty times.
